PoB NSW Social Ride. Destination Cootamundra. A town in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales. The meet point was Maccas Richmond about an hour out of Sydney. Some had travelled two hours to get to the meet point, another had overnighted in Richmond. A coffee and a chat and we were off to Oberon, without any complications. Oberon onwards to Crookwell, well, we did extend the trip somewhat (about a hundred km’s), after getting lost on the back roads four (yes 4) times (the ride leader shall remain anonymous ).
My sincerest apologies NSW PoB’ers, but with some great teamwork, group discussions and phone GPS we made it to Cootamundra with a smile on our faces. A quick shower and off to the Central Hotel for dinner. A great catch up with friends old and new. Chatting about mental health issues and comparing motorbikes and telling stories about trips past, and those coming up. Sunday early morning was breakfast at Helen’s Café. A quick fuel stop we were off, splitting into 3 groups due to different destinations.
What a lovely weekend with like-minded mental health professionals, who love motorbikes, what a great combination. Two days riding through beautiful countryside with great weather, it was good for the soul and personal mental wellbeing.
