POB Big Ride 2026: We’re Heading Your Way!

The countdown is on! In September, the Psychs on Bikes team will hit the road for our next Big Ride, travelling through Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT and connecting with communities along the way.

The ride officially begins in Rockhampton, Queensland, on Saturday 5 September and will take our riders on a two-week journey through regional communities across four states and territories.

Two weeks on the road — or join us for a few days

One of the great things about our Big Ride is that our participants don't all need to commit to the entire journey. Riders and mental health practitioners can join us for the full two weeks or jump on board for a couple of days when the ride reaches their home state.

This gives our growing network of Psychs on Bikes volunteers the opportunity to be involved in a way that works for them — while allowing us to reach even more communities along the way.

Where can you find us?

Our itinerary includes a combination of private events and public community events. Some visits are specifically arranged with local organisations, workplaces and community groups, while others are open to everyone.

At our public events, everyone is welcome to come along, meet the Psychs on Bikes team and have a conversation about wellbeing.

Our current public events include:

  • Roma Men's Shed, Roma QLD — Monday 7th September 10.30am–12.30pm.

  • POB Fundraiser Dinner, Gold Coast - Tuesday 8th September 6pm at Longboards Eatery & Bar, 9 Hamilton Ave, Surfers Paradise.

  • Deepwater Hotel: The Top Pub, Deepwater NSW — Wednesday 9th September, from 5pm in the Long Room.

  • Royal Flying Doctor Service Wellbeing Place, 60 Palmer Street, Dubbo NSW — Friday 11th September, 11.30am–1.30pm.

  • Kerang, VIC — Sunday 13th September 12pm-2pm hosted by SES Volunteers, 8 Tate Drive, Kerang.

  • Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation Fundraiser Dinner, Ararat RSL, Ararat VIC — Monday 14th September 6.30pm.

  • Castlemaine RSL, Castlemaine VIC — Tuesday 15th September, 4pm–6pm

We encourage everyone in these communities to come along and meet us.

What happens at a Psychs on Bikes event?

Our public community events generally begin with a short, informal presentation about mental wellbeing and looking after yourself and your mates.

Following the presentation, our team of mental health practitioners and nurses will be available to offer free health checks and an opportunity for a chat.

There is no need to have a problem or concern to come along. Sometimes simply having a conversation and checking in with yourself — or with a mate — is a good place to start.

Thank you to the communities who make the ride possible

While the motorcycles might be what you notice first, our Big Ride is only possible because of the people and organisations we meet along the way.

Every community visit relies on local groups, organisations, businesses, volunteers and individuals who open their doors, help spread the word, provide a meeting place or simply make our team feel welcome.

To everyone who is hosting us, helping with our events or supporting the ride behind the scenes — thank you. Your support allows Psychs on Bikes to reach people in regional communities and create opportunities for conversations about health and wellbeing.

So, if you see a group of motorcycles rolling into your town this September, come and say hello!

We look forward to seeing you on the road and meeting communities across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the ACT.
