March Happenings: From BMW Motorrad to Bathurst

March 2026 proved to be a particularly rewarding month for Psychs on Bikes, as a fortunate alignment of dates allowed us to attend not one, but two major motorcycle events in a single four-day journey.

Our adventure began at the BMW National Motorrad Rally, our first time attending this iconic event. We were warmly welcomed by organisers, volunteers, and attendees alike, and it was a fantastic opportunity to introduce Psychs on Bikes to a new community of riders. There is always something special about attending a new event, sharing our story, and connecting with people who may be hearing about our work for the first time.

From there, we headed to the Bathurst Bike Show, a familiar stop on the Psychs on Bikes annual calendar. Returning to Bathurst each year is always a highlight, and it was wonderful to once again be greeted by friendly faces and familiar supporters. One of the most rewarding aspects of attending events year after year is seeing people return to say hello, share updates about their wellbeing, and continue conversations that began years earlier. These interactions are a powerful reminder of the impact our volunteers make. Whether we're attending an event for the first time or returning for another visit, communities genuinely appreciate the time, energy, and care that Psychs on Bikes members bring.

Over the course of four busy days, our members represented Psychs on Bikes with enthusiasm, professionalism, and generosity. We connected with countless riders, had meaningful conversations, and raised awareness of our mission to reduce the burden of mental health in rural communities that continue to embrace and support us.

Most importantly, we feel that we achieved one very significant goal: strengthening our presence within the broader motorcycling community while continuing to demonstrate that conversations about mental health belong wherever people gather.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this journey. Whether you rode, volunteered, organised, or simply stopped by for a chat, your contribution helped make these events such a success.

We look forward to building on these connections and seeing many of you again at future rallies, shows, and rides throughout the year.
